Professional contact action

Selecting “Professional Contact” attempts to open the visitor’s own email application and simultaneously copies the public contact email address to the clipboard.

If a visitor voluntarily contacts James Zhao by email, James Zhao may receive the name, job title, organisation, email address and message content supplied by that visitor. Such information will be used only to respond to the enquiry, arrange general professional communication, protect the security of the website and communications, and handle follow-up directly related to the original enquiry. This website does not provide a contact form or attachment upload and does not ask visitors to submit customer data, internal documents, account information or real project evidence by ordinary email.

Email and related personal data may be processed by the email service providers used by the visitor and James Zhao as part of their normal service operation. The information will be retained only for a reasonable period necessary for the above purposes and then securely deleted as appropriate. It will not be disclosed to unrelated third parties except where required by law, necessary to protect legitimate rights, or necessary to provide the communication service. Enquiries or requests concerning access, correction or deletion may be sent to contact@jameszhao.hk.

If an ordinary email clearly contains sensitive information that should not have been supplied, James Zhao will, where reasonably practicable, stop using it as an ordinary enquiry, take necessary incident-handling steps, and apply appropriate notification or deletion measures. The instruction not to send sensitive information does not remove applicable data-protection responsibilities after information is received.
